Education Projects

I have worked across a broad range of education projects, from mainstream primary schools to complex SEN secondary settings. All designs were developed in line with the latest DfE frameworks, ensuring compliance with area data sheet allowances and DfE Annex circulation requirements. Each scheme was also carefully tailored to reflect the unique needs of the individual school, aligning closely with their educational vision, operational requirements, and community context.

From RIBA Stage 3 through to Stage 6, I have played a key role in seeing these projects through from initial design development to final handover. This involved leading on interior layouts, space planning, and finishes proposals, while actively participating in finishes meetings, and overseeing the procurement process. Throughout, I ensured all design decisions remained aligned with both DfE guidance and the school-specific brief.

A critical part of my role involved regular and effective coordination with other disciplines, including architects, structural engineers, and M&E consultants, to deliver a fully integrated and efficient design solution. I am experienced in working to tight, high-pressure deadlines, often within live programme constraints, and consistently delivering quality outcomes.

I have also been responsible for presenting design proposals at each key project stage to a range of stakeholders, including technical advisors, contractors, subcontractors, and school leadership teams, ensuring clear communication, collaborative input, and shared understanding throughout the design process.
